62: Portland Weather for March 3, 2026

Good morning, it's March Three, Two Thousand Twenty Six! And it's a Tuesday! Here in Portland, Oregon. It's six forty-five in the morning and I'm up here in the West Hills and it is raining. A gentle, steady rain. You can hear it in the fir trees, that soft pattering, and the smell of wet earth and bark is all around. The city below is gray and wet and quiet. There's a slight breeze blowing. Forty-six degrees Fahrenheit, around eight Celsius. Should be going up to around fifty-five Fahrenheit about thirteen Celsius, and the rain looks like it's going to be staying with us all day long. That's alright. Rain has a way of slowing things down to the right speed. The coffee tastes better. The lights inside look warmer. And the sound of tires on wet pavement — there's something in that.
